Our Ingredients

Our ingredients are at the heart of our recipes. This is why we only use saffron from best cultivation.
Saffron is obtained from the dried stigma of the saffron crocus flower (Crocus sativus).
During the short, approximately two-week flowering period in autumn, the purple flowers are hand-picked one-by-one.
Each flower contains only three red stigma, which are also hand-picked and then dried. Approximately 170,000 flowers must be harvested to produce 5 kilograms of saffron stigma.
